The Dials Name: More Than a Coffee Company

When people see the name Dials Coffee Company, it's natural to assume it's simply the name of our business.

But to me, it's much more than that.

It's my family name.

It's a reminder that every company is built on the people who came before it. Long before there was a website, a logo, or a bag of coffee with our name on it, there were generations of people working, raising families, serving their communities, and quietly building lives that mattered.

This company carries that name with pride.

Growing up in Wabash, I didn't think much about legacy. Like most kids, I was more interested in baseball games, friends, and whatever came next. Looking back now, I realize how much this town shaped me.

I played Little League here.

Today, I have the privilege of coaching the next generation of players on many of those same fields. It's a full-circle moment that reminds me how quickly time passes—and how important it is to invest in the people coming after us.

My dad spent years working at Ford Meter Box, one of the companies that has helped define Wabash for generations. Like so many families here, work wasn't just about earning a paycheck. It was about showing up, doing your job well, and contributing to something larger than yourself.

Those lessons stayed with me.

When it came time to build this company, I could have chosen almost any name.

Instead, I chose Dials.

Not because our family name is more important than anyone else's, but because it reminds me that every decision reflects not only on me, but on the generations that came before me—and the generations that will follow.

That perspective changes how you do business.

It reminds you to tell the truth.

To make things you're proud to stand behind.

To admit mistakes when you make them.

To remember that every customer is a real person placing trust in your company.

Our hope is that years from now, people won't simply remember Dials Coffee Company because of the coffee we roasted.

We hope they'll remember that we tried to build something honest.

Something rooted in community.

Something that gave back more than it took.

And if we do that well, perhaps one day the Dials name will represent not just a family, but a company that earned the trust of the people it served.

This is only the beginning of that story.

Thank you for being part of it.
